"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." - Genesis 1:1
I see a lot of people wondering why God wants to be praised in all that we do. They say this is selfish and arrogant, and that the God described in the bible wouldn't be like that. It's like this. When a human does something praise worthy, logically, don't they deserve praise? When my mom cooks dinner, does the laundry, or cleans the house, I should thank her and praise her work. God created the heavens and the earth. He didn't need to create anything. But he did. This is a praise worthy act. God is responsible for everything. I believe he didn't create us out of a want for praise. I believe he created us out of a want to love. He desired something to love. After all, isn't he the God of love? Thanks for reading, and God bless!

In All Your Ways
"Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." -Proverbs 3: 5 and 6
This is a classic set of bible verses. We all learn them in Sunday school at a very young age. But we almost never follow what they say. I see, all over, people only acknowledging him in some of their ways. Here, to acknowledge means to believe and live in faith. God should be present in every one of your activities, every day. He should always be on your mind when you are doing anything. That is what we should strive for. When God is always on our thoughts, it will be that much easier for us to constantly be doing his will. This has to start with daily prayer, and daily time in the Word of God. I find this easier to accomplish when I wake up and immediately begin to read the bible. It sets the tone for the whole day. I've also taken to carrying my bible with me the whole day. If I have free time, I have the Word of God there to read. Keep God on your minds, and God bless!

All To Him We Owe
"Then Jesus said to his disciples, 'If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.'" -Matthew 16:24
You will suffer. I guarantee you as a Christian, you will suffer. This is a hard concept for a lot of people to accept. But you see all over scripture, men and women of God actually rejoicing in their suffering! The modern person is perfectly content with accepting a Christ that will give to them. The are content with accepting a savior that will give them earthly items. This is wrong. We are called as Christians to give up our wants for the wants and will of God. We should rejoice in suffering! Jesus suffered, and so should we! We should lay down our entire lives for the Lord, and in doing so, accept that we will suffer. We will have strife! So did Jesus, more so than us. What I'm getting to here, is that by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are still going to suffer. But we should rejoice in that! We get to sacrifice for the Lord! We get to give all to God! Good night all, and God bless!
All the Time in the World
"Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
'I find no pleasure in them'" Ecclesiastes 12:1
This calls us to live in the will of God at as early an age as possible. The earlier we submit to the absolute authority of our creator, the more time we will have to glorify him. For years I sat there in the mindset of, I have my whole life ahead of me, God can wait. I should have been thinking, I have my whole life ahead of me, why make God wait? I now know that I can spend the maximum amount of time doing the will of God because of my youth. With youth comes time, time to spend glorifying God. Good night all, and God bless.
His will be done.
"Then he said to them all: 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me'". Luke 9:23. We are called to spiritually die and be reborn. When Christ comes into our lives, he should completely and radically change us as a person. We should not even be close to the person we were before. Ask yourself, How much have I really changed? Maybe it's time to jump in full hog, and to remove yourself from all of your thought. Remember, it is not about us or what we want. It's about God, and his will, and living according to his word and laws. This is a hard concept. We are called not to think about what we are going to do, but what God is going to have us do. Remember, the things of this world don't matter. Our lives have a beginning and an end. Eternity doesn't. So we should live for eternity, and not the present. Thanks for reading, and God bless.
Which is it?
"I am the way, the truth, and the light. No man gets to the father but through me." - Jesus Christ. I would like to state that it is impossible to look at Jesus Christ as just a good man. He claimed to be the Son of God. If this is not true, then he has deceived billions of people. So which is it, the Son of God, or the greatest liar ever born? I'm betting on Jesus Christ being the actual, living Son of God, that came down to this earth to die for us.
